On April 25, a meeting took place in Gabala between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The talks were held both in a one-on-one format and with the participation of delegations.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on a working visit to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the parties noted the positive experience of previous contacts and emphasized the importance of the current negotiations for the development of bilateral relations.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in energy, agriculture, and other areas. Issues related to the functioning of intergovernmental mechanisms and coordination of joint projects were also addressed.
Particular attention was given to Azerbaijanās humanitarian support for Ukraine. The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude for the assistance provided and the attention given to children. It is expected that a group of Ukrainian students will arrive in Azerbaijan in the near future for rehabilitation and to familiarize themselves with the countryās culture.
